Looking for a smile you want to show off? That's what porcelain veneers can do. Dr. Chase and the team at Summit Dental Studio use them to cover chips, deep staining, small gaps, and uneven edges.
Each veneer is a thin piece of custom-made porcelain that gets bonded to the front of your tooth, kind of like a fitted cover that looks and feels completely natural. No surgery, and depending on your case, treatment can often be completed in just a visit or two.
Veneers are one part of the cosmetic care we offer here. For teeth that need a little more support, we also have options like same-day crowns.
A lot of patients tell us they assumed fixing their smile meant braces, or something bigger than they were ready for, so they never brought it up. Usually the answer is simpler than that.
Call (937) 977-1818 or request a visit, and we'll tell you what veneers can and can't do for your smile.

A few straightforward steps to your new smile, plus a quick check-in afterward, so nothing catches you off guard.
We start by listening. What bothers you, what you want your smile to do for you, what you've tried already. Dr. Chase examines your teeth and gums, takes pain-free digital x-rays, and uses an intraoral camera so you can see what he sees. If veneers are the right tool, we say so. If something simpler will get you there, we say that too.
This is the artistry part, and it's where the time goes. Shape, length, how the edges catch the light, and shade all get chosen with your face and your natural coloring in mind, checked in natural light. Beautiful and consistent results are what we want our name attached to, so we don't rush this step.
A very thin layer of enamel comes off the front of each tooth to make room for the porcelain, so your veneers sit flush instead of looking bulky. A digital scan captures the exact shape of your teeth. Depending on your case, we may be able to move quickly from here, or we'll set you up with temporaries so you walk out with a complete smile while your final veneers are being finished.
Your porcelain veneers are tried in so we can check the fit, color, bite, and the way they look when you smile. Adjustments happen right there in the chair until it feels right to you. Then they're bonded into place, polished, and we walk you through how to care for them. We'll also set a short follow-up visit.
Most people who feel self-conscious about their smile are better candidates than they expect. If your smile just doesn't match how you feel on the inside, that alone is reason enough to ask. Veneers tend to fit well when your teeth and gums are healthy and one or more of these sounds familiar:
Healthy is the key word. Veneers are a cosmetic treatment, so if there's anything active going on, like decay, gum disease, or a tooth that needs a root canal, we take care of that first. It's the right order, and it protects the result you're investing in.
Sometimes veneers aren't the right fit, and we'll tell you that. If a tooth is badly broken down or heavily filled, a same-day crown will protect it better. If your teeth are crowded or rotated, straightening them with ClearCorrect first can actually mean fewer veneers, or none at all. If you clench or grind, we'll work that into your treatment plan, usually with a nightguard. And if color is your only concern, whitening might get you where you want to be for a lot less.

One appointment, unrushed. You leave with a clear plan and a written estimate, not a decision you have to make on the spot.
Usually a couple of hours, depending on how many teeth we're treating. You're back to your day the same afternoon.
Simpler cases can often be completed in the same visit or close to it. More involved smile designs may take a little longer, and if temporaries are part of your plan, we'll use that time to make sure the final result is exactly what you had in mind.
We check the bite and your gums once everything has settled, and make sure you're happy with how the veneers feel.
Before we get started, there isn't much to do on your end. Make sure any needed cleaning or treatment is taken care of first. If you're planning to whiten the teeth that won't have veneers, do that before we choose your shade. Porcelain is color-matched once and stays that color, so we want your natural teeth at their brightest before we lock anything in. Bring photos of smiles you like and smiles you don't, and bring your questions.
Once your veneers are in, caring for them is pretty straightforward:
The cost depends on a few things: how many teeth you're treating, whether any prep work needs to happen first, and how much customization goes into the porcelain. One veneer to fix a chipped front tooth looks very different on a treatment plan than a full smile makeover.
We don't post a flat price online, because a number without knowing your situation doesn't really mean anything. What we do instead is walk you through an itemized estimate at your consultation, line by line, before you decide anything.
Most dental insurance plans don't cover veneers since they're cosmetic, so we'll also go over your payment options in a way that's easy to understand, with no pressure attached.

Dr. Chase Culbertson earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. After graduation, he spent years pursuing advanced training in full mouth reconstruction, surgery, implantology, and cosmetic dentistry, learning from instructors across North and South America.
A dentist who rebuilds entire smiles from the ground up thinks about more than just how your teeth look. He thinks about how they fit together, how they hold up over time, and how you will feel about them years from now, not just on the day they go in.
A few other things that make a difference here:
If someone has told you the smile you want is not possible, come get a second opinion. Some of our patients heard the same thing before they came in.
With regular care, well over a decade is a realistic expectation. How you treat them day to day matters more than the material itself, which is why we take real time going over aftercare before you leave.
A thin layer of enamel is removed to make room for the porcelain, and that step can't be undone, so veneers are a permanent commitment. That said, the tooth itself stays intact and protected under the veneer. We only remove what's genuinely necessary, nothing more.
The preparation is done with local anesthetic, and most people tell us it was easier than they expected. Some mild sensitivity to hot and cold for a few days afterward is normal and fades on its own. If dental visits make you anxious, we have sedation options and we'll talk through them with you ahead of time.
Usually, yes. There is a limit, though. Porcelain can only be built out so far before a tooth starts to look wide or bulky, so wider gaps and crowding are better addressed with ClearCorrect first. Dr. Chase will take a look at your spacing at your consultation and tell you which path gets you the better result.
A veneer covers the front surface of a tooth. A crown wraps around the whole thing. Veneers are the right call when the tooth is healthy and you want to change how it looks. A crown is the right call when the tooth needs added strength and full coverage. We'll tell you which one fits your situation.
That's something we work through together before anything is permanent. Depending on your case, that might mean previewing the shape and shade digitally, wearing temporaries for a stretch, or reviewing the finished veneers right there in the chair before they're bonded. However your process unfolds, nothing gets locked in until you like what you see.
Maybe you're still weighing it, and that's fine. There's no timeline you have to meet here. Whenever you're ready, come sit down with us. A cozy space, an unrushed conversation, and honest answers about what's possible for your smile. Ask us about veneers, dental implants, cosmetic dentistry, or anything else on your mind.
